Been spending a lot of time in the hood lately (east side) …….here’s some snaps from around the area taken the past couple of weeks. These are mostly things that bring back memories from my time growing up here and some things that just caught my eye. It’s amazing how fast time goes. I can’t believe it has been 54 years since I started running this neighborhood. But here I am, already at the end of my parents life cycle. And, now helping them in all the ways they helped me to become the person I am today. I don’t have children but I now imagine what the worry and all the work must feel like to those who have. Only the hope is different. Instead of hoping that they grow up to be honest, caring, giving members of society I hope I get just a few more years….no matter how much effort it takes. So the photos are a bonus, something extra that I hadn’t planned for. And a diversion, something to keep my mind from ruminating on what really shakes me to the core.
